In 2009, I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis, which impacted my nervous system and mobility. In early 2010, the MS started to go into my hands, affecting my fine motor dexterity. I almost lost the ability to draw and create art.

In an effort to fight the progression of the disease, I started the “I Never Promised You a Rose Garden” series. This series is my fight against MS. My refusal to give in and allow this disease to rob me of everything that is important to me.
