When I started this piece, I wanted to demonstrate a little bit about my process when I create art. I love texture, and the process of quilling can add quite a bit of texture to a piece so when I painted the tiger, I knew I wanted to add a lot of texture. The finished piece ended up being almost totally covered in quills and just invites you to run your fingers across the surface.
